A Residential Contractor Built for Alpine Projects
At Tradecraft, we approach residential projects with a focus on clarity and control from the beginning. Whether it is a full-home remodel, a kitchen renovation, a structural change, or an exterior upgrade, the goal is the same: deliver a finished space that feels intentional, performs long-term, and reflects the level of quality the project deserves.
Residential construction is personal. It’s your home, your investment, and your daily environment. The process can be overwhelming when decisions stack up, timelines shift, and multiple trades are involved. We guide clients through each phase so they understand what’s happening, what decisions matter, and how the project is progressing.

The structural and exterior components of a home define its integrity, performance, and long-term durability. These are the elements that support everything else, from how the home stands to how it handles weather, temperature, and time. Tradecraft manages these phases with precision, ensuring each layer is built correctly and aligned before moving forward.

Behind every finished space is a network of systems that power, heat, cool, and support the home. These systems must be properly designed, installed, and coordinated early in the build to avoid conflicts later. Tradecraft ensures that mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are integrated cleanly and built to perform reliably over time.

Where Residential Projects Break Down
Most residential construction issues don’t stem from a single major mistake. They come from a lack of alignment.
A decision gets delayed. A trade arrives before the space is ready. Materials don’t show up on time. Communication breaks down between phases. Small gaps start to stack, and what should be a controlled process begins to feel unpredictable.
For homeowners, that often shows up as stress, delays, and uncertainty during a project that should feel organized and clear.
Tradecraft is built to prevent that kind of breakdown. We approach each project with a focus on planning, sequencing, and communication so every phase is aligned before the next begins. That means fewer surprises, stronger coordination across trades, and a process that stays controlled from start to finish.
Experience That Prevents Problems Before They Start
Residential construction involves hundreds of decisions, many of which impact how the home performs over time. Without the right experience, those decisions often happen reactively, after problems have already surfaced.
Tradecraft brings more than 35 years of hands-on construction experience into every project. That experience shows up in how work is planned, how challenges are anticipated, and how decisions are made in the field when conditions shift.
Homeowners are not left guessing. We guide each phase with a clear understanding of what matters, what can wait, and how each decision affects the overall outcome.
The result is a process that feels steady, informed, and aligned from start to finish.
What that looks like in practice:
Catching structural or layout issues early, before they expand into larger problems
Keeping trades aligned so work moves forward without unnecessary delays
Helping prioritize decisions so nothing critical gets overlooked
Adjusting in real time without losing direction or quality
Maintaining momentum even when complexity shows up

Tahoe Donner Remodel
Truckee, CA | Full Interior Reconstruction | 2025
The Tahoe Donner project was a full interior reconstruction, taken down to the wood structure and rebuilt with long-term livability in mind. From the start, Tradecraft guided the client through the realities of building in Tahoe, including permitting, engineering coordination, and the development of a layout that made sense for both the home and the environment.
Building in the Tahoe Basin requires a different level of planning. Snow loads, temperature swings, and seasonal wear all affect how a home should be built. This project included upgraded insulation, structural reinforcement, and full system replacements to ensure the home performs through heavy winters and high-elevation summers.
The result is a fully rebuilt interior with modern systems, clean finishes, and a structure designed to hold up over time. Every phase, from structural work to final detailing, was executed with cross-trade alignment and a clear understanding of what Tahoe homes demand.
